Your displays look terrific! So much to catch your eye and keep you engaged. I am a bit of a geek and my favourite part was the jigsaw. But sssshhhhhh...don't tell anyone, most people think I'm cool.
Your Ancient Egypt display looks absolutely amazing. I can see how hard you have all worked on your Egyptian archeological studies.
My favourite Ancient Egyptian artwork isn't really art. It's their writing, the hieroglyphs. It had been a mystery for archeologists until the discovery of the famous Rosetta Stone. Have your heard of it?
Archeologists knew how to read Ancient Greek as they had modern Greek to give them the idea. The Rosetta Stone had the same decree written in three different languages, two of which were Ancient Greek and hieroglyphs. With this stone, they were finally able to understand what had been written.
For Egyptologists, This was an incredibly important discovery.
Keep adding such wonderful posts. This one really caught my attention. :)
Hello! Hannah here from Art.Paper.Scissors.Glue! Just wanted to stop by and say I love your unit! It looks like the students are getting exposed to a wonderful variety of references- it really helps to make the unit much more well rounded and diverse. Keep up the good work!
