Year 4 have been really busy this week. Here are some photographs of the things we have done.
Literacy: Information text.
Beginning to write an advert for a house
Making board games using addition and subtraction
Art: Observational drawings of Indian artefacts
One minute writing challenges
"What stuck with you" In class we have an exit display and children use this to show each other what they think about their learning, how things might be improved and what's next. They write about what has stuck in their mind.
Today was the first time they have used it and they have written about this week.

ReplyDeleteHello Year 4,
ReplyDeleteYou certainly packed a great deal into a week.
I see you found ads can be very creative because they aim to draw in buyers by only showing the best features.
I liked the pattern puzzle. I often do puzzles similar to that. They really are good exercise for the mind.
I thought the one minute writing challenge is a good idea. Does the balloon pop when the minute is up?
I also liked the idea of "What stuck with you?". The activity gives you time to review your week. This way you can realise just how much you have achieved.

Hi Year 4,
ReplyDeleteWow! It certainly looks like you had a very busy week. What "stuck" with me from this post, is how much team work or collaboration is happening in your classroom. Collaborating is a very powerful way to learn because if you get stuck or can't think of an idea, there's always somebody there to support you.
Hope you have another great week!
Mrs Stones
