Yesterday Mrs Warner gave us a challenge. Could we make a graded sieve? There was a Desiger Award on offer. Dylan and Joe won it because their product was the best!
First of all a huge well done to you all for taking part in Mrs Warner's challenge with enthusiasm, determination and concentration - I can tell this from the fantastic photographs of your afternoon. A special well done to Dylan and Joe for receiving the Designer Award. A couple of questions .....
A graded sieve is were you put something big and small and the big thing will stay on the top and the small thing will stay on top.Dylan and joe won because it was like a bunkbed and sepprt 2 things.
Hi mrs stones Joe and dylan got the award because they had the best sieve the reason there sieve was the best was because they had to have three layers to seperate the three different tipes of food and they had made a sieve that had three layers thats why thy had the best from jessica
Hello Mrs.Stones how are you doing,a graded seive is a seive what has 2 layers and witch separates items,Joe and Dylan was the best because they did a fantastic graded seive,it has been lovely speaking to you bye.
Thank you very much for replying to the questions I left. I now have a clear idea of what a graded sieve is. You have also had a really good go at explaining why Joe and Dylan won the Design Award. I am also teaching in Year 4 this year, so I may show my class your work when we come to this Science topic. We have just started a Science called "Circuits and Conductors" and the children are really looking forward to making their own electrical circuits. As for William's question about how I am, I am very well thank you.
Thank you answering my question about why Joe and Dylan's sieve won the Design Award. From your answer and the answers from other members of your class I've learnt lots about graded sieves.
