When I read the story I felt there was a hidden message running all the way through. The illustrations were very useful to help understand the character's emotions.

In class we read the book and In our Groups we had to choose two questions and answer them.I enjoyed today.it was sad.I am still wondering why the little girl took her heart out?.
We all made up some questions together about the story. These are the ones that I want the answers to
How did she live without her heart. How did she stop thinking about the curious wonders on earth when she took her heart out because people think with there brain not there heart.
I really like our new story by oliver jeffers it is extreamally interesting. This is what I think it is a sad story because half way through when she was a child her care died of old age.Hannah
I think the book is about a girl who is curious about the world and one day her grandad dies so she desided to put her heart in a bottle to keep it safe
