Rainbow writing

Rainbow Writing

This morning we turned grey sentences into "rainbow sentences"
Can you remember what we did?

Here is the wall wisher to write your own examples of rainbow sentences.

  1. This sounds like an excellent idea. Can you explain to me how you made rainbow sentences? Perhaps I can try it with my class.

  2. Hello Year 4,

This activity seems like a great idea. Were you highlighting interesting words?

  3. We turned a grey sentence for example the cat sat on the mat we would make it more exciting for instance the brown fluffy cat bathed on the blue mat in front of the fierce fire.

  4. I don't think I have ever been as happy to read a blog post. I wrote the 'Rainbow Writing' book alongside Mrs Wilson and am thrilled to see schools using it! Brings a tear to my eye...

    Do you find it useful?

  5. Hello Mr Harrison,
We all really enjoyed Rainbow Writing on Friday. It was a very effective way to show openers, verbs, adverbs, adjectives and connectives visually through colour. I am planning to use this a lot more in class.
It was easy to see if something was over used or not used at all.

    Thank you for inspiring us!
