Spelling contract wb 10th September

I am so pleased and impressed with the way so many Y4's have tackled the very first "spelling contract"

The spellings were given on Monday and over the week children have had chance to complete their chosen activities. The activities must add up to 30 points.

Class Councillor elections

Yesterday we listened to the children who wanted to become Year 4 Class Councillors. They gave a speech and answered questions about why they would do a good job.

If you are interested you need to plan a presentation for Tuesday 12^th September.  

Your presentation will need to include:

·        why you are the best person for the job

·        why people should vote for you

Your presentation needs to be in the style of a speech and you will need to persuade your class mates to vote for you.

Please note, if you are successful you will have to commit to attending breakfast meetings. These will be fortnightly and start at 8am.

Team GB and the 2012 Olympics

I have really enjoyed watching the Olympic games over the last couple of weeks. Cheering on our Team GB athletes has been a brilliant way to spend my summer holidays.

Target setting

All the wonderful hands you decorated during transition week have been put up and added to the
Investors in Pupils display.

I would like you to think about the individual targets you will be aiming for in September.

The rocket is for our Class Target, it has to reach the moon and then we will get a certificate.
Together we will decide what this should be the first week back.
