Yes some of us have seen the Queen. Some of us saw her along the river Thames for the Jubilee. Some of us have seen her at Buckingham Palace and last year a few of us saw her at the Royal wedding.
First - Christchurch is a fantastic place. In Christchurch we have - Antarctic center, Gondolas, Trams, Museum, Orana Park ( zoo) Willow bank ( zoo) Balloon adventures, sailing and boating ( we live on the coast) Pools and clean rivers that we swim in. We are close to the mountains for skiing. New Zealand - we think NZ is a very cool place to live. Lots of things to do, lakes, lots of forests, mountains and hills for biking, tramping camping etc. Nivae, Maia, Hamish and Ella.
Yes we do we have Gatsby and Clayton. Every Friday one of us gets to take Gatsby home and one of us gets to take Clayton home. We then write in a diary about what we did over the weekend, then take it back to school and share it with the rest of the class.
Yes some of us have. Esther has seen some of the crown jewels from previous Kings and Queens in a museum. A lot of us have seen the crown jewels at the Tower of London. Marina has seen some at the local Putney shopping centre but unfortunately they were not real!
We like lots of games such as: football, king's square, IT, Please Mr Crocodile, Red Letter, Skipping, Sticker swapping, Splat, Piggy in the middle and playing on our new piece of equipment the round about.
We have a redish, pinkish squirrel and his buddy is a light green dinosaur. We have the mascots so we have company when we are doing our work. They come and sneak a peek at our amazing work. When we are sad we can hold them to make us feel better. They can also sit on our desks if we are being an ACTIVE learner. In New Zealand we have lots of pets. The most popular are cats and dogs and also bunnies, guinea pigs, birds and some pet lambs. Some unusual pets are sea monkeys, worms, beetles, hedgehogs, lizards and turtles. Siena, Rose, Charlotte and Connor
It doesn't snow much in Christchurch. Last year it snowed twice and this year it has only snowed once but the temperature was minus 6 one morning.The snow was about 30 cm deep in some parts.

ReplyDeletesome days its really hot and it gets to over 30deg. But usually its about 23 /24. Our summer is when you have winter.

ReplyDeletein summer is about 20 - 25 degrees. At the moment its sometime minus 1/2 or three in the morning and gets to about 9 or 10 deg.
