Snow day Sumdog challenge
When you come in from making your snowmen and having sledging fun, you might like to compete in the Snow Day challenge.
Go to the link on the right hand side.
Bring photos to school of you playing out today, especially if you go sledging. I would love to see your snowmen.

Multifaceted learning afternoon
There was a buzz of excitement in the Year Four classroom today.
We tried something new called "Multifaceted Learning" The idea came from Miss Kitchen who used this method with her Year Six class last year.
This is how it looked.
We had a literacy, history and science activity all going on at the same time. Two activities had an adult guiding the group and one activity was completely independent.

Please reply with comments about how you thought the afternoon went?
- Did you like this method of teaching and learning?
- Did you prefer a particular facet?
- Do you like working independently?
- Did you learn anything new?
- Are you looking forward to your final facet on Monday?
- Where would you place your learning on the basic, better, best, blow your mind outcomes?
Talk homework
In preparation for tomorrow, talk about stories with imaginary settings. Try and think if they contain the features we came up with earlier in the week.
- imaginary setting
- problem and a solution
- good and bad character
- conflict
- magic
- a way into the fantasy world and a way out
Do these stories have the above features;
The Wizard of Oz
The Lion the Witch and the wardrobe
Peter Pan
Explain and describe the story you created a plan for today.
Presentation Monday
Michaela was the first one to present to the class for our second round of presentations. She gave a very informative introduction to the dog breed; King Charles Spaniel.
She shared information about her own family pet and gave information about this particular type of dog. Can you remember the name of her dog?
