The day Sgt Furey came to see us.

This afternoon Sgt Furey came to see Y4.

The children had prepared lots of questions they would ask if a modern day soldier just happened to visit Fieldhead Carr School. When Sgt Furey walked into class there was a hush and then gasps of shock.

    2. It was brilliant, I especially liked watching you all march round and Bailey made me laugh too with his arm exercises.

Will you make sure Sgt Furey see's this blog post. I'm sure he will want to see the positive comments from everyone. You could try to twist his arm and get him to post a comment too!

  6. Hello Year 4,

What a wonderful experience you have all had. I can see Sgt Furey was able to give you some idea of what is expected of recruits in the army. I could see, from the photos and video, how hard many of you were trying to march. I know it's not as easy as it seems to march at the same pace but I know army training can teach you many skills, including marching as a unit.

Well done everyone and especially Sgt Furey for sharing his experience with you.

  9. Hi Year 4, what a fantastic way to start the new half-term. I can see from the photos that everyone, including Sgt Furey, had a really good day. When you are learning about something new, you can't beat first hand experience or knowledge and that's exactly what you were able to get from the visit of Sgt Furey.
