S.E.A.L Friendships - falling in, falling out

This afternoon we spent time talking about friendships and the "different levels of friendship"
We tried to work out if we behave differently with different people and what to look out for to stop friendship issues arising.
We considered these questions;

     Do you like all your friends in the same way?
     Do you like doing the same things with all your friends?
     Do you tend to see some friends only in certain situations?
     Would you want to see all of your friends all the time?

We added names of our friends onto this diagram.

The inner circle represented our family and closest friends, the outer circle represented acquaintances, people who you see but don't really know, like your dentist or postie.

Following on from this, the children thought about their friends and the qualities they have.
Here are some fantastic LOST posters describing some of their friends.
(If you find them please send them back to Y4)

  5. I love the idea of making "Lost" posters celebrating the qualities of your friends. It will have given you all the opportunity to spend time thinking about what makes your friends special. I was lucky enough to be visited by a friend from college today. We have known each other for nearly 15 years now and even though we don't see each other as much as I'd like, because of the distance, I know that I can count on her support and vice versa.
